How do we

How do we "Glue" together Compassionate Banes?

Last week a group of people from our area went to see Jenny Hartnoll from Health Connections Mendip to discuss in more detail what might be needed to launch a Compassionate Community in B&NES. The main takeaway from the Frome model is that we need a "glue" to bind everything that is already taking place here which could be a role that is played by 3SG.

Jenny said that the Frome programme was kick started by a £21,000 innovation grant from their CCG which would be a drop in the ocean compared to the £2 million figure others have suggested we might need to launch this in our area. 3SG are preparing a Compassionate Banes vision which we hope to share with you shortly and a dialogue has already started with B&NES Council, our members and the Health & Wellbeing Board.

We have arranged a follow up meeting at the Carer's Centre, Lower Bristol Road, Bath on 28th February which will focus on practical steps we can take to get the ball rolling in B&NES. Please join us if you are in a position to be the "glue" that makes Compassionate Banes happen within your organisation. Just email to get involved.
